Description

Circa 1880. Curved astylar terrace of tenements; 3 storeys,
attic and basement. 15 bays arranged with full height canted
windows marking out bay pattern 4-7-4. Polished ashlar
channelled at ground, partly painted or stonecleaned.
Steps oversailing basement to tripartite doorpieces with
double leaf doors, glazed side and fanlights. Plain recessed
close opening with glazed fanlight. Variety of fenestration
at ground. 1st floor windows architraved and consoled; 2nd
floor windows architraved (bipartite at No 2) Full height
canted bay windows at terminal bays of each tenement;
corniced over ground and 2nd, panel frieze over 1st. Sash
windows; plate glass glazing (some modern glazing to No 10).
Continuous band course over ground and at 1st and 2nd floor
cills. Eaves band, eaves cornice. Axial stacks. Slate roofs.
Cast-iron railings to steps and basement.
