Description

Circa 1881. 3-storey and basement mirrored pair of 3-bay
terraced houses. Polished ashlar, stonecleaned, channelled
at ground.
Steps oversailing basement to wide double-leaf doors.
Vestibule door tripartite with glazed sidelights and
fanlight. 1st floor each house with corbelled bowed 3-light
oriels. Otherwise all windows single-light sashes; plate
glass glazing. Continuous cornice over 1st floor level acts
as cill band to 2nd floor windows. Eaves cornice, axial
stacks, slate roofs.
Good cast-iron balustrade to steps; low ashlar boundary wall
to roadway with some modern cast-iron railings.
