Description

Thomson, Sandilands and MacLeod 1928-1933. 5-storey and attic warehouse. Ashlar sandstone, with granite base course to Hutcheson Street. Cill course to 1st floor and frieze and main cornice above 4th floor, flat-roofed attic. Simple architraves to ground floor openings, with aprons panels below windows.

HUTCHESON STREET ELEVATION: 3-bay, asymmetrical. Doorway to left, and paired large, square windows to right. Narrow windows to left bay above ground, set in panel; centre and right bays with dividing Giant order pilasters, fluted at neck, and with cast-iron moulded apron panels. Single attic window above left bay and bipartites above centre and right bays.

WILSON STREET ELEVATION: 8-bay, as Hutcheson Street above ground, in symmetrical form; doorways blocked as windows in 2 outer bays and 3 large windows grouped at centre. Metal-framed, plate glass casement windows.
