Description

Early 19th century. 4-storey terrace of tenements and
commercial premises, currently (1988) undergoing major
renovation work. 5-bay elevation to John Street, 15 bays
to Cochrane Street (3 5-bay sections).
Polished ashlar, channelled and painted at ground.
COCHRANE STREET ELEVATION: 4 pilastered corniced
doorpieces. All windows single light, architraved to 1st
and 2nd, corniced to 1st. No glazing remains, formerly
sash and case windows with 4-pane glazing. Moulded cill
bands at 1st and 3rd, eaves cornice, blocking course.

No 47 Cochrane Street is a pend leading to a property located to the rear of No. 7-17 John Street (see seperate listing).
