Description

Probably Thomas Binnie, begun circa 1868. 3 houses at S 1875.
Long terrace of 3-bay, 2-storey and basement astylar houses
with classical details. Plain detailing. Polished ashlar,
channelled at ground floor, partly painted squared rubble
rear elevation. Nos 19 and 21: 2-bay with tripartite bays
breaking forward. Nos 1-17: stepped in slope in 3-bay
sections, in 27 bays. No 37: single storey recessed porch
in 2nd N return elevation. Windows mainly sash and case with
plate glass. Ground floor level band course. 1st floor
moulded cill band, architraved windows. Eaves cornice.
Slate roof, skews, axial stacks.
S return: 5 bays with canted bay.
