Statement of Interest

Cost £32,000. A good example of the work of Burnet, Boston & Carruthers, who are perhaps best known for their prolific tenemental output which shaped large parts of the city around the turn of the 20th century. This distinctive Baroque building is well-detailed and adds significantly to the character of the streetscape.

10 Mitchell Lane contains Bar 10, with an interior designed in 1991 by the renowned design practice, Ben Kelly Design. Kelly achieved recognition for his innovative work in 1982 at the Hacienda Nightclub in Manchester. One of Glasgow's first 'style bars', the interior of Bar 10 mixes a variety of materials with primary colours, making reference to the city's industrial heritage.
