Description

1839, reconstructed circa 1853. 4-storey and attic flour
mill beside River Kelvin, 10 x 2 bays. Coursed rubble,
freestone dressings. Moulded stone eaves; long and short
quoins with slender pilaster treatment; plain architraves.
Unfortunate flying stairs to 1st floor entrances. Blue
slate roof with later brick dividers. Gable corn sheaf
finials on dentil corniced pedestals.

Statement of Interest

For William Wilson flour mill. Converted to residential

use 1986-7. Loading doors and iron hoods removed,

wheelhouse demolished.
