Description

William (?) Lochhead, 1855. 4-storey classical warehouse with
modern shops at ground floor, 8 wide bays. Polished ashlar
and cast-iron. All windows sash and case in architraves with
mainly 4-pane glazing. 8 main bays, 4 lights to each bay,
separated by 3 storeys of superimposed semi-engaged columns;
1st floor Doric, 2nd Ionic, 3rd Corinthian, recessed
Corinthian pilastraded glazing with cast-iron mullions to
each floor. 1st floor mutule cornice, 2nd floor dentil course,
3rd floor plain; modillion eaves cornice.
Plain elevation pilastered to Mitchell Street.
