Description

Robert Alexander Bryden, circa 1900. 6-storey attic and basement office building; 2 unequal bays of tripartite and single light windows. Polished red ashlar, granite basement, polished granite stair and

balustrade. Shallow canted E bay. Sash and case windows, plate glass.

Entry to right architraved, shouldered lintel decorative, cast-iron surround. 1st floor mask-bracketted solid balcony with sculpted front, sculpted pediment to central canted window. 2nd floor cill band. Sculpted aprons to 3rd floor windows, cill band. Balustraded balcony to 4th floor canted bay, semi-engaged Roman Ionic column mullioned window. Dentil band, cornice, sculpted frieze. Tall stylised pediment with

architraved, corniced oculus, flanking finials. Scroll shoulder architraved pediment window in W bay.
