Description

Robert Lorimer, architect 1915. Stone memorial fountain of polished pink granite. Circular base with 4 basins.

Over this square pedestal with lion mask spouts and bronze plaque supports tall octagonal shaft with unicorn and shield. Bronze plaque reads "This Fountain was presented to the City of Glasgow by William Annan of Port Dundas. 1915".

Statement of Interest

Repositioned here in 2000. Now focal point of square created by the construction of new office block closing off the north end of Renfield Street.
