Description

Built 1880/90. Show influence of Alexander Thomson.
Asymmetrical 2-storey Thomsonesque villa with deep-eaved
(slate) roofs; stugged coursers, polished dressings;
2-bay front (entrance recessed on flank) with pilastered
mullions, pilasters rising out of jambs; mullioned
windows in left bay, balcony between floors with
decorative cast-iron; canted ground floor window right,
paired windows over; glazing mostly plate glass sashes.
Stepped boundary wall to street with piers.
