Description

Robert Ewan, 1893-4. Bank with renaissance ornament; red ashlar, with sculptured detailing and friezes. 3 storeys with attic; symmetrical. Entablature above ground floor, pediment over original central door (now a window - present door at right), consoles with anthemion detail over piolaster strips dividing bays; upper floors 4-bay with bipartites, outer shallow pavilions; bracketted main cornice, balustrade over linking mullioned attic windows at pedimented centre and at ends.
