Description

W G Rowan, 1897-1904. Late Gothic style church with hall adjoining to left; all snecked red ashlar, roofs mostly slated. CHURCH has square corner tower with buttresses stepped in at narrow top belfry stage, slated thin spire rises from within parapet. Nave and aisles under continuous roof, aisles behind tower to right, canted stair turret left, also with small spire. Sculpture at doorway has an art nouveau flourish, big traceried gable window over. Twin-gabled shallow transepts; chancel.

HALL has simplified tracery in gable window to street. Plain galleried interior with stone aisle arcades. Iron-railed boundary with plain stone piers.

Ecclesiastical building in use as such. Memorial stone dated 11th October 1902.
