Description

Unusual composition, 2 houses in an approximately symmetrical u-plan arrangement, L-plan 3-bay north and opposing south elevations near identical, each having steep-pitched advanced gable, inner door, 3-light window with triangular attic dormer above. Built of snecked and squared rubble, ashlar dressings, plate glass sash and case windows, deep-eaved slate roofs with timberwork in gable heads; long east flank with 2 gables and dormer; low wing adjoins each west gable.

Statement of Interest

An orthodox double-villa version of this design is seen at 20, 22 Central Avenue, and a single villa version at no 18.
