Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey and attic 3-bay flatted villa with classical details with 2-bay flatted block flanking to E. Rendered

front, harled to rear and side. Base course; shallow angle pilasters; eaves cornice and blocking course; raised margins to windows, at ground floor corniced with bracketted cills.

NW (FRONT) ELEVATION: villa to right with doorway with panelled door and 2-pane fanlight to centre, doorpiece of fluted Doric columns, triglyph frieze and dentilled cornice; regular fenestration flanking and at 1st floor. 3 canted dormers with piended roofs. 2-bay block to left with plain doorway with panelled door and narrow 2-pane fanlight between bays, architraved window flanking to left, pend to right; regular fenestration at 1st floor; 2 canted dormers.

SE (REAR) ELEVATION: full-height, harled semicircular stairwells with half-conical roof and single windows to centre of villa and flatted block; windows and dormers to outer bays.

SW ELEVATION: gabled with truncated apex stack. Mostly replacement windows, 2 12-pane timber sash and case windows surviving to rear. Slate roof with apex (see above) and mutual stack.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.
