Description

Style of Charles Wilson, mid 19th century; large office addition to rear. 2-storey, rectangular-plan, classically-detailed villa. Cream sandstone coursers, stugged at ground floor, polished at 1st, piended slate roof. Base course, band course at 1st floor, eaves course, croniced wallhead; single and paired architraved windows with corniced lintels to ground floor, 8-pane sash and case frames to ground floor, 6-pane to 1st; corniced linked stacks.

FRONT ELEVATION: 3-bay, symmetrical. Door with fanlight at centre, piered porch with corniced entablature, window to left and right, 3 windows to 1st floor.

E ELEVATION: door with reound-headed fanlight at centre, window to left and right, single window to 1st floor centre, bipartite to left and right.

W ELEVATION: bay to right slightly advanced, bipartite window to ground floor, single to 1st; 2 bays recessed to left, small 2-storey addition to re-entrant, window to ground and 1st floor at left.

INTERIOR: not seen.

GATEPIERS: 2 pyramidal-capped ashlar gatepiers to front
