Description

Mid 19th century; later alterations; large modern addition to rear. 2-storey and attic, 11-bay, classically-detailed, asymmetrical row of 3 buildings forming hotel. Painted ashlar, harled gable, slate roof. Single and bipartite architraved windows, plate glass sash and case glazing, round-headed pedimented dormers; corniced and coped ashlar ridge stacks. 4 bays to left; round-headed doorcase with massive consoled broken segmental pediment, 2 windows to left and 1 to right with voluted pediments, 4 windows to 1st floor with lugged architraves, 3 dormers. 4 bays to right; close door to right, 2 bipartite windows to left, 4-light canted oriel to 1st floor left, 3 single windows to right, platformed pyramdial roof with dormer to left (brattishing removed). 3 bays to right; modern shopfronts to ground floor, single window to 1st floor flanked by bipartites (out-of-character modern glazing).

INTERIOR: not seen.
