Description

Earlier 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 4-bay hotel. Rendered and painted. Base and cill courses; raised margins, eaves/lintel course; cornice; long and short quoins. S (CLYDE STREET/ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: ground floor modernised with doorway to outer left, 3 windows to right. 4 symmetrically disposed windows to 1st and 2nd floor.

uPVC replacement windows. Grey slate roof, slate-hung gabled dormer to centre with round-headed light; canted dormers flanking each with gablet over centre light. Corniced end stack to right.

Statement of Interest

The Imperial Hotel was a former Tontine Inn which has a stagegoach service which left every morning to meet the steamer at Luss.
