Later 19th century, addition by William Leiper, 1893. 2-storey, 3-bay v illa with classical details; 2-storey, single bay wing recessed to left (W), single storey and attic wing (1893) recessed to right (E).
Squared, stugged and snecked sandstone, ashlar dressings; cream rubble at ground to 1893 addition with jettied red-tile hung attic storey.
Base course; chamfered arrises; ashlar mullioned windows; overhanging bracketted eaves.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: pilastered doorway to centre, 2-leaf panelled doors. Canted windows flanking with bracketted cornice and lead half-piend roof. Window to centre at 1st floor, bipartite windows flanking. 2-storey wing to left, window at ground and 1st floor. Wing to right see below.
WING TO E: by William Leiper
S elevation; window to centre at groiund, canted oriel to SE angle supported by timber consoles on stone corbels, low conical roof, finial. E elevation; doorway to outer left, window to centre and right. 3 windows at 1st floor, squared oriel to outer right with timber consoles and stone corbels.
Plate glass sash and case windows; small-pane casement windows to E wing. Grey slate roof, 2 round-headed dormers to S elevation, end stacks. Tall wallhead stack to rear of E wing.
