Description

Circa 1800. 3-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan house converted to offices. Stone-cleaned ashlar and coursed rubble. Base and eaves courses.

NW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Door with plate glass fanlight to centre, windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration to each floor above.

SE (REAR) ELEVATION: symmetrical fenestration, including small slat-hung dormer windows over outer bays.

SW (CROSS STREET) ELEVATION: flat-roofed extension (not included in this listing) to ground; windows to outer left at 1st and 2nd floors, and small window to left in gablehead.

NE ELEVATION: largely blank with small blocked opening to right in gablehead.

Modern glazing. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks; ashlar-coped skews; cast-iron downpipe with decorative rainwater hopper to NW.

Statement of Interest

Reinstatement of traditional glazing would greatly enhance this building.
