Description

Early 19th century. Corner building ( end terrace house), 2-stoerys, 2 bays to Castle Street, 2 bays to St Cuthbert's Street. Painted, lined render and margins, rusticated angle quoins. Door at left, 1 enlarged window to right, 2 windows in 1st floor with plate glass sashes. Modern tile roof.

Statement of Interest

Castle Street called New Street on undated (probably late 18th century) plan of castle and yards (RHP 12762/1-2) and there is no building at that date.
