Description

18th century with later alterations. 2-storey, single bay rectangular-plan, crowstepped gable-ended house (converted as shop) with stop-chamfered NW angle and tall gablehead stack. Harled. Modern concrete window cills.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set part-glazed modern door at ground in chamfered angle to outer left. Window, offset to right of centre at each floor; gablehead stack above.

S (SIDE) ELEVATION: window at each floor in bay to outer left.

4-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; stone ridge; tall, harled, corniced stack to W; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: converted to shop at ground; unseen above, 1998.

Statement of Interest

An unusually narrow building with a chamfered corner which retains its crowstepped gable to the street and has an unusually tall stack.
