Statement of Interest

With its ground floor windows probably enlarged in the 19th century and bipartites inserted on both floors, this house, nevertheless, remains relatively intact in form. It retains its crowstepped gables and its plain classical symmetrical main elevation. It forms part of a largely 18th century development which takes Kirkwall out to the west.
