Description

Mid 19th century. Asymmetrical house with 2 storeys over
raised basement; 3-storey square tower. Harled, with
polished ashlar dressings, window and angle margins,
band course between storeys and eaves course. West
elevation: central advanced bay with entrance tower in
re-entrant angle to right, corniced door with porch
supported on decorative cast-iron stanchions. Single
window above, and round-headed tripartite on each face of
3rd storey. Tripartites in advanced bay, round-headed and
with bracketed projecting cill on 2nd storey. Single
windows in basement and outer bays. Corbelled cills and
plate glass sashes. Projecting eaves, bracketed over
advanced bay. Piended slate roof. Asymmetrical north
elevation has similar detailing.
