Mid to later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, square-plan Tudor detailed villa with flat-roofed extension converted to bank and bank house in 20th century. Formerly rendered, now stripped and stone-cleaned to reveal squared and snecked masonry, stone mullions and chamfered arrises; hoodmoulds; chevron corbel table at eaves. Harled to sides and rear.
S (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Corniced stone porch of pointed arch doorway flanked by polygonal columns with traceried parapet with polygonal dies and centre tablet; narrow window above. Broader, slightly advanced gabled bays flanking, each with tripartite window at ground and 1st floor; corbelled polygonal shaft finials.
E ELEVATION: blank with small later projection at ground.
N ELEVATION: original window at ground left and 3 regular bays at 1st floor, centre and right partially obscured by later projection.
Abutted to SW by rear extension to neighbouring High Street property.
Small-pane glazing pattern in sash and case windows; window to right at ground with lower sashes altered to plate glass for bank. Grey slates. Shouldered and coped wallhead stack with full complement of polygonal cans.
BOUNDARY WALLS: coped rubble wall with squared piers closing garden to right side. Low, saddle-back coped boundary wall to Street, formerly with railings.
