Description

Later 19th century. 3-storey, 2-bay tenement with mdoern shop at ground. Cream squared and coursed sandstone, ashlar dressings.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 2 bays with chamfered angle to left; shop at ground with pend to outer left; 2 windows symmetrically disposed at 1st and 2nd floors.

Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, piended over angle, ashlar coped skews, rendered corniced stacks.

No 147 answered the problem of a difficult site between 1 advanced and 1 recessed building, by the use of a chamfered angle and thereby adding to the townscape value of the building. It is listed in consideration of its neighbours.
