Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey. 3-bay symmetrical rectangular-plan house. Cream sandstone rubble, ashlar to N (entrance) elevation, ashlar dressings. Base and eaves courses, raised margins.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central pilastered doorpiece with frieze, cornice and blocking course, 8-panelled fanlit door, moulded architrave. Regular fenestraiton ground and 1st floor.

W (SIDE) ELEVATION: snecked sandstone rubble single storey porch.

S (REAR) ELEVATION: 3-bay, blocked door off-centre right, window far right, small window to left, window far left; centre stair window; windows to left and right at 1st.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: 1 window at ground to left.

12-lying-pane sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof, rooflight at rear, harled end stacks, moulded cans. Outhouses at rear to right and left, gable ends built against side garden walls. Rubble, grey slate roof, ashlar coped skews, apex stone.

GATES, GATEPIERS AND BOUNDARY WALLS: rusticated gatepiers, frieze, cornice and cap with arrow and spearhead 2-leaf cast and wrought-iron gates. Rubble wall.
