Description

Circa 1800. Single storey, 3-bay traditional cottage. Whinstone rubble, droved sandstone ashlar dressings. Base course, raised door and angle margins.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: deep-set fanlit door, windows to outer bays.

N (REAR/STREET) ELEVATION: small pointed window with Gothick glazing pattern to centre flanked by windows. Later harled porch projecting at right angles at outer right with door on left return and modern window to N face, grey slates.

12-pane sash and case widnows to N, aluminium windows to S selevation. Modern pantiled roof, 3 valux rooflights to S, ashlar coped skews, scrolled skewputts, stacks to gables.

BOUNDARY WALLS, GATEPIERS AND GATES: coped sandstone rubble wall, piers with chamfered angles, moulded ashlar caps (one to left missing).
