Description

Dated 1888. Asymmetrical 2-storey house. Stugged ashlar with
polished dressings. Steps with stone balustrade lead to off-
centre door recessed behind screen; projecting square
tripartite to left linked to screen by balustraded balcony;
1st floor windows with crow-stepped gableheads. 3-stage
circular tower to right of door, plinth, with moulded strings
above. Cill courses to ground and 1st floor and string
courses above ground floor continued across front elevation.
Frieze above 1st floor window with rosettes, blocked flutes
and date. Boldly corbelled and castellated parapet. Small top
stage with aedicule window, initials in frieze, and conical
slated roof. Gabled right bay has shallow projecting
tripartite at ground floor, balustrade above, and bipartite
to 1st floor with decorative pedimented head. Crow-stepped
gables with ball finials. Semi-circular 5-light single storey
window, bipartite above with decorative Jacobean head in
south west elevation. Extensive range to rear. Slated roofs.
Interior has some decorative plasterwork.
