Description

Early 19th century, probably re-working 17th century fabric. 3-storey tenement. Rubble, painted, part-harl, plain margins.

E ELEVATION: harled, irregular fenestration, 3 windows at 1st and 2nd floors.

S ELEVATION: adjoining 154 High Street.

N ELEVATION: blank harled gable end.

E ELEVATION: door to left at ground, irregular fenestration, attached gable end of demolished building to right.

Timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. Grey slate roof; stone skews; brick gablehead stack to S, small brick wallhead stack to W, capped stone gablehead stack to N.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

Statement of Interest

No 146 stands at the end of what was fomerly Piersoun's Close, later known as Keith's and then Mill's Close.
