Description

Mid 19th century, single storey and attic, 3 bays with centre

door. Single storey wing in same style to north west gable added

in early 20th century. Tooled ashlar frontage, polished ashlar

dressings and long and short quions, harled rubble to gable

ends and wing to rear. Tripartite windows in ground floor;

matching 5-light in wing, all with raised keystones to each

light and to entrance. Panelled parapet broken by blind aproned balustrade to bipartite dormers. Dormers supported by scrolled

brackets; segmental pediments.

Corniced end stacks with square decorated pots. West Highland

slate roof. Low coped rubble garden wall with quatrefoil

balustrade flanking entrance. High rubble wall elsewhere

Statement of Interest

Lion Cottage of 3 bays appears on 1870 OS. Wing appears on

neither 1870 nor 1905 OS. Stone lion stands in garden.
