Description

Mackenzie and Matthews, 1847 Italianate; single storey
asymmetrical 5 bay range; tooled ashlar, polished ashlar
dressings, rubble flanks. SW (street) elevation near centre
round headed doorway set under open square campanile in pylon
form with single roundheaded and balustraded arch recessed to
each face; eaves band; bracketted eaves and shallow pyramidal
slate roof.
Wide gabled bay to right with roundheaded tripartite and
bull'seye above; 3 bays to SE elevation lit by roundheaded
windows.
2 round headed windows to left (3rd bay blocked by later 2 bay
wing); all windows and door linked by band course; tall chimney
stacks; slate roof.
