Description

Circa 1840. Repairs and alterations, A & W Reid, 1858.
Classical 2 storey, 3 bay facade; polished ashlar, rusticated
ground floor and channelled angle pilaster strips. 2 storey
single bay wing, recessed to south, of coursed rubble with
polished ashlar dressings. Centre pilastered doorpiece with
flanking 2 storey, pilastered canted bay windows mask
keystones to ground floor; aproned balustrade to 1st floor
and parapet over. Segmental pediment to 1st floor centre
window. 5 architraved windows 2nd floor with guilloche
moulded cill course. Frieze and cornice, panelled end stacks;
slate roof.

Former British Linen Bank. Existed by 1842.
