Description

Late 19th century, 3 storey, 4 bay block of shops with
dwellings above. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings.
Asymmetrical ground floor with 3 bay shop front to right, near
centre flat headed pend and 2 two bay shops to left; lintels
borne by series of cast-iron colonnettes engaged at angles
and all banded at mid-height with simple moulded collar.
Symmetrical upper floors; canted oriels with decorative
balustrades to outer bays 1st floor under slightly advanced
crowstepped gables; bracketted cornice to paired 1st floor
windows continues as string course. Paired 2nd floor window
with raised wallhead; shaped gables; giant angle pilasters
with gableted finials, corniced end stacks; slate roof.
