David MacGibbon, dated 1873. Baronial, asymmetrical 3-storey bank building, red sandstone ashlar walling, cream sandstone dressings. quoins and band courses. End bays have entrances to ground in cream sandstone surrounds, that to left with gablet over, that to right with consoled balcony. Double-leaf panelled door to left; 4-panelled door with fanlight to right. All windows single light or bipartite, all sash and case with plate glass, 2-pane glazing. Off-centre bay to left shallow advanced and rises to crowstepped gable, otherwise all 2nd floor windows gablet dormers with shield motifs and finials. Stepped string course over 1st. Crowstepped gables, tall corniced end and axial stacks, slate roofs.
