Description

Later 18th century. Substantially altered 2-storey tenement. Rubble rendered and lined as ashlar at N.

N (STREET) ELEVATION: roll-moulded decorative shouldered surrounds to ground floor openings, later 19th century. Moulded cornice dividing storeys. Broad central double doorway with flanking plate glass shop windows retaining glazing bars. Panelled door in outer bay to left.

2 bipartite windows at 1st floor, enlarged in 1964.

S ELEVATION: piend-roofed extension to right and another to left. Concrete pantiled roof with rubble gable stacks raised in brick.

Statement of Interest

Similar shop front at 33-35 High Street. Ridge line lower than adjoining building to E, higher than that to W, all 2-storeys.
