J W Hardie, 1898. 3-bay rectangular plan 2-storey and attic villa with later rear additions. Squared, snecked sandstone rubble; ashlar dressings.
N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 3-bay; doorway at centre with canted bay at ground to right behind arched loggia bearing timber balcony above. Balcony door at centre and bipartite to right. Advanced outer bay to left with full-height canted bay and jettied gable head above with applied timber framing. 3-light flat-roofed dormer at centre.
S (GARDEN) ELEVATION: piend-roofed projection to right with bipartite windows and lean-to outbuilding at ground. Recessed bay to left with 5-light projecting bay at ground.
W ELEVATION: stair window altered to doorway with forestair at centre. Penticed-roof outbuilding projecting. Gabled dormer at centre flanked by stacks. Conservatory adjoining.
E ELEVATION: oriel above timber loggia bearing leaded fleur-de-lys panel. Both glass in loggia arches.
Small-pane casement windows with plate glass lower panels at front. Grey-green slate roof. Coped stacks. Bracketted eaves.
INTERIOR: panelled doors and simple classical chimneypieces. Tiled vestibule.
Formerly known as Rannoch Lodge. Loggia and oriel at E added later. Fleur-de-lys detail similar to that at Kings Knoll, Clifford Road. Sub-divided 1957.
