Description

Circa 1830. 3-storey with attic 10-bay terrace. Ashlar.
Architraved doors with consoled cornices (1 paired with
window) and block pediments; door at No. 5 altered to
window. Architraved windows with cill brackets, those at
1st floor corniced. 12-pane sashes mostly unaltered. Eaves
cornice and blocking course. Slate roof with 2 canted,
piended dormers, and corniced stacks.

Statement of Interest

Uniform design with nos. 4 to 20 (even) and 13 and 15

Forbes Place. Built as shawl warehouse by James Forbes

shawl manufacturer.
