Description

Dated 1887. Pair of cream ashlar sandstone gatepiers; base, frieze (1 bearing date, 1 initials VR), cornice with central acroteria and large ball finial. Low quadrant walls with saddleback ashlar coping terminated by piers. Setts to forecourt. Iron gates and railings.

Statement of Interest

Adjoins the boundary wall of Barima (see separate listing). The park was gifted to the town, to mark Queen Victoria'a Diamond Jubillee, by Sir John Hay of Haystoun.
