Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 2- x 2- bay plain classical tenement on corner site. Rendered; painted to Atholl Street elevation. Base course, cornice to ground, cill course, band course, raised cills. Small piended dormer.

Predominantly non-traditional windows; 12-pane timber sash and case windows to top storey. Grey slates, raised skew and gable stack to North William Street.

INTERIOR: (ground floor only seen, 2009). Largely altered.

Statement of Interest

This corner tenement forms a significant addition to the streetscape of this part of the city. It retains its original profile and classical proportions and has the simple refined detailing which is typical of its date.
