Statement of Interest

This former Town and Country Bank building by a local Perthshire architect sits on a prominent corner site in Perth City centre and adds significantly to the streetscape. Perth has a number of high quality corner buildings such as this, dating from the end of the 19th century when the city enjoyed a period of wealth and prosperity.

South Methven Street was laid out in 1791, following the line of the medieval West wall of Perth Burgh. This building was originally erected for the Town and Country Bank and is currently offices (2009).
