Description

Mid-later 18th century. 2-storey and dormerless attic terrace of 2 houses. Pebble dashed, contrasting painted ashlar margins and dressings. Originally a 2-bay house (no.17) and a 3-bay house. Shop window and door slapped in left (SE) bay of no 17. Entries to no 17 and 19 with moulded, lugged and corniced painted polished ashlar doorpieces with single patera in each lug. Double leaf panelled door in no 17, modern door in no 19. 5 regularly disposed windows in 1st floor, close to wallhead; single ground and 1st floor window in N return gable with paired diminutive attic lights in both N and S return gables. Mainly 4-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Ridge and end stacks; flat skews with run-off skewputts; slate roof.
