Built as the Aberdeen Town and County Bank, this fine, little altered building, designed by the architect of Balmoral Castle, is an important reminder of the flourishing commercial status of mid 19th century Stonehaven. The main west block was the bank building and became offices of Kincardine County Council from circa 1920. This part was converted to flats in 1991, with the entrance located at the Robert Street elevation. The east wing (33 Evan Street) housed the offices of Kinnear and Falconer, Solicitors until 1985, and was subsequently named Kinnear House.
