Description

Late 19th century asymmetrical villa set in large garden with iron-railed boundary wall. 2 storeys, 3 bays; gabled; open and parapetted timber loggia in left hand bay, French-windowed 1st floor opening above, with gabled dormer head, opens on to roof. Gabled inner bay, wide depressed-arched doorway, 2-storey canted bay to right curved outwards to square at eaves, with main roof carried over. Rubble, contrasting rendered dressings imitation red ashlar; original glazing, mostly sashes. Projecting ground floor window on left flank fronting Matheson Road; rear wing. Corniced end stacks, slate roofs with red ridging tiles. Boundary walls topped by decorative cast-iron railings, original front gate and dougle gates to driveway at right.
