Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 4-bay near rectangular-plan terraced tenement with shop at ground. Painted render. Base course; moulded dentilled band course dividing floors with flanking scrolled end blocks; channelled quoins and architraved windows at 1st floor.

SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 3 entrance doorways at centre; 2 leaf timber door to left, single timber doors to centre and right; single window at ground to outer left; single and double width window to outer right at ground. Regular fenestration at 1st floor.

Predominantly modern glazing, original timber 12-pane timber sash and case windows remain at upper storey to right; Velux rooflights. Grey slate roof; skews; coped rendered stacks; circular cans. Cast iron rainwater goods.

INTERIORS: not seen 1997.

Statement of Interest

A good example of terraced housing, noticeable for its channelled quoins, band course and distinctive scrolled end blocks.
