Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey with attic, 4-bay L-plan block fronting Bridge and Church Street. Rendered at ground, harled at 1st floor. Base course; band course; painted surrounds to openings; rolled cornices to ground floor openings. gablehead to 2 bays to outer left of Bridge Street elevation.

SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: entrance to outer right; blocked doorpiece with keystone; glass and timber door; strip glazing to right; single window at 1st floor. 2 single windows to left at ground. Single window at outer left to 1st floor.

SW (CHURCH STREET) ELEVATION: 3 single windows at ground and 1st floors; 2 canted dormers to outer left and right at attic.

Plate glass timber sash and case glazing. Grey slate roof; stone skews; coped gablehead stack; mutual coped brick stacks to adjacent properties in Bridge and Church Streets.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

A prominent example of earlier 19th century building which forms an important part of the Church Street townscape (see separate listings).
