Description

Ross and Macbeth, 1887. 1st pointed Gothic; simple 4 bay
rectangular church orientated east/west. Stugged sneck
coursed rubble; ashlar dressings; base course. 2 paired
lancets and triple chancel lancets to north and south
elevations; 3 long narrow lancets to east gable; Y traceried
hoodmoulded window to west gable with porch (left) and vestry
(right) under continuous sweep of steeply pitched slate roof.
Small timber louvred ridge bellcote with small facetted and
bellcast spire; apex cross finials.
Interior; simple interior with arched braced roof supported
on heavy corbels. Plain pine benches with poppyheads.
Stained glass by Ballantyne and Gardiner, 1884, A L Ward,
1910 and W Wilson, 1955 and 1961. Coped rubble enclosing wall.
