Description

Later 18th century. 2-storey property tenement with shop at ground, adjoined by later property to W, and with narrow wynd to E. Windows enlarged in 19th century. Painted harling to N, natural harl to side and rear; base course.

N ELEVATION: 3 narrow bays with door at centre, flanked by windows; 3 1st floor windows.

2 doors and 2 1st floor windows to E (wynd) elevation.

Gabled S elevation with door blocked as window to right, evidence of former chimney breast to centre and 1st floor window to left.

12-pane glazing pattern in sash and case windows. Brick stacks, end stacks harled; red pantiled piend roof to N.

Statement of Interest

3 similarly narrow 18th century properties with piend roofs can be found in Dunbar, in the north-west quarter of the High Street (see separate listings).
