Description

Circa 1840. Semi-detached pair of 2-storey, 2-bay rectangular-plan, gabled houses. SW facing. Coursed Caithness stone slabs. Regular fenestration, irregular to rear. Central bay with blocked pend and window, flanking doors.

INTERIORS: not seen 2001.

Timber-framed double glazed windows. Concrete tiles to No 3, grey slates to No 5. Coped gable stack to E, cast-iron rainwater goods.

The Group listing is in recognition of the exceptional group value of these buildings as the core of Thomas Telford's 1809 scheme for the new town plan of Pulteneytown for the British Fisheries Society.
