Description

Leadbetter & Fairley, 1895-98. Ashlar canted frontage, harled with raised ashlar dressings elsewhere 2 storeys; 5 bays to Sinclair Terrace; wide single bay to Cliff Road with 2 windows at ground floor. Canted angle with projecting semi-circular porch with polished granite columns and Venetian windows above. Projecting semi-octagonal stair turret to Cliff Road. Tall hall window with Gibbs surround, plate glass art nouveau glazing to Sinclair Terrace, also 2-light 1st floor windows with segmental pediments, 1 to Cliff Road, 2 to Sinclair Terrace. 2storey projecting canted bay to north elevation. Clasping pilasters at outer angles. Modillioned cornice red tile roof; small octagonal cupola with leaded bell-cast roof. Irregular hexagonal entrance hall with curved flight stairs and 1st floor balcony/landing.
